Seekt Privacy Policy

Seekt is a scavenger hunt app designed for group gameplay. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.

Data We Collect

• Precise location (GPS) — used to track team positions during gameplay.
• Photos — submitted as proof when completing scavenger hunt items.
• Device identifier (UUID) — used to associate your device with your team for the duration of a game.
• User content — team names, hunt names, and clue text entered by players and hosts.

How Your Data Is Used

All data collected is used solely for gameplay functionality. Specifically:

• Your location is shared with other players and the game host during active gameplay so teams can be tracked on the map.
• Photos you submit are visible to the game host for review and scoring.

Data Storage and Retention

Data is stored on our server at b-o.ca. All game data, including locations, photos, and user content, is automatically deleted 48 hours after the game ends.

No Accounts

Seekt does not require or create user accounts. No email addresses, passwords, or personal profiles are collected.

No Analytics or Tracking

Seekt does not use analytics services, advertising frameworks, or any form of cross-app tracking.

No Data Sharing or Sales

Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Data is only used within the context of your game.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
