Seekt Quick Guide: The Host Dashboard

Welcome to the Seekt Quick Guide series. In this episode, we are looking at the host dashboard — your command centre during a live game.

Once you start a game, the dashboard is where you manage everything. It updates in real time, refreshing every ten seconds, so you always have a current picture of what is happening.

At the top, you see the game status and timer. If you set a time limit, the countdown is displayed here. You can extend the timer at any time by adding bonus minutes — players are notified immediately and see the extra time on their countdown.

The QR code and join code are always visible for late joiners. You can tap to show the QR code full screen, share it as an image, or generate a printable PDF.

The leaderboard shows all teams ranked by score, with the number of items completed and the time of their last submission. You can tap any team to expand it and see the names of all members, with the captain clearly marked. Teams with multiple members show a member count badge.

Below the leaderboard, you can access submissions. Each submission shows the team name, the item clue, the photo or video, GPS coordinates, and a timestamp. You accept, reject, or adjust points on each one. Rejected submissions give the team zero points and allow them to try again.

The announcements feature lets you send messages to all teams or to a specific team. These appear as highlighted cards in every player's hunt list. Useful for logistics, safety updates, or just adding some excitement to the game.

If safety check-ins are enabled, the dashboard shows which teams are current and which are overdue. This gives you visibility into team activity at a glance.

After the game ends, the dashboard becomes a results screen. You can browse all submissions, run a full-screen photo slideshow via AirPlay, and share individual photos and videos directly from the app.

The dashboard is designed so you can manage a game from one screen without switching between views. Everything you need is accessible from the same place.
